drooling
cheapsensorytoys
Hi i just wonderd if anyones child has had the operation to reduce drooling, this envolves removal of the bilateral sublingual glands and redirection of the submandibular ducts in the mouth as at the moment we are trying to decide whether to go ahead with this operation for my son.
Any info would be appreciated on the degree of success of this procedure
thanks, heather

hi,

My son has not had this but has had patches to reduce drooling. This has been successful, have you tried these?

We were offered these patches too, although I can't remember what they're called sorry. They dry up saliva so stops the drooling but I refused them so I can't tell you personally if they work, a bit useless aren't I! Your Paediatrician should be able to help you though.
