Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

I would try speaking to your paed and let them know what is happening and ask for their opinion and advice.

From what you've said it sounds like two different processionals have differing opinions as to what needs to be done, but they should talk to each other to reach a common solution without your daughter being messed around like that.

It might also be worth asking the lead professional for a review of your daughters needs to make sure they are being best met. It may be that the need your pead is responding to may not actually fall under the remit of physio and OT but may be better met by another service. The important point would be to ensure that the need identified by the pead is addressed, whoever it might be addressed by.

Yes, I think that would be a good way forward! We should be seeing the paed next month and tell her our problem! Last time when they sighned her off my hubby phoned the paed and he was against their decision and then she was sighned back on! It didn't leave us very popular with the Physio, but hey I couldn't care less as I will make sure my daughter gets what she needs! Thanks.
