Nappies for a 4 yr old...Do you get help?

I've been told that I should be getting nappies provided for Jack now that he is 4 (his birthday was in September). Is it right that I ask my Health Visitor about this and she arranges it? Are they any good? I've found that Pampers nappies are the only ones that don't give Jack a nappy rash (I've tried branded nappies and supermarket own brand). We're toilet training with some success and are gradually moving into pull ups so I'm wondering it this would cause a problem in that we use pull ups during the day and nappies at night. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks. |

Hiya.We were the same and our health visitor sorted it for us no probs. Our little un is nearly 6 and we are allocated 5nappies a day.We have it 3pull ups and 2nappies.The pull ups seem a little bigger than the nappies but you should get a few samples first. We find them quite good.To get your next lot all you do is phone a number every 12wks+they get delievered. We in Derbyshire area.Hope you can make sense of my waffling:o)

I'm going to give our Health visitor a ring - she's always been very good helping us sort things out. What happens if you think you're going to run out before the end of 12 weeks - say if they have an upset tum and need lots of changes (I once had to change Jack 15 times in a day). I'll still have a supply of our usual nappies I guess but was just wondering if they helped out or understood that sometimes we use more than 5 a day - though I guess they have to estimate it somehow or we'd have a nappy mountain to store wouldn't we!! I'm longing for the day when Jack wears 'big boy pants' though it'll probably be a long way off from now. |

we only get 4 nappies in 24 hours and they are the Tena ones which are a plastic type so during summer he gets horrible nappy rash. I do like the Euron ones as they are a proper nappy but a lot of health pct don't use them

Hi this post has some helpful information, I think you get an assessment of how many you need on a normal week, I don't think they would give extras for just in case but depends on council
http://www.parentsofdisabledchildren.co....-5033.html There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will.. So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future. |
