cheap sensory toys

Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

I've applied for funding through one charity and they would want his school to purchase it and they will reimburse them. Don't think I'll be able to do it that way - can't see them agreeing to pay out like that for one item to be used by only one child! Also not sure if he'd get to use it enough in class for what I'd want him to do (he'd need someone sitting with him helping him get his hand into a 'pointing' motion). I'd also be worried about it getting broken, theres a couple of autistic Children in his class who can get a bit overexcited, and I don't know what happens if it gets broken. I need to look at other funding methods I think, where it can come home with him (or be used at home only)
