Hi, I called the tax office when my son was granted DLA high rate care and then they backdated it to the DLA award date (Don't know if they can do this if you were awarded more then three months ago). I am a single mum with one child and I then got the Disabled premium added which I think you get if they get middle-high rate care and then another premium added because he is severely disabled (getting high rate care DLA).
Call the tax office again they don't need proof as they check direct with DLA. Will I EVER stop having to fight for my son to have what he NEEDS!?

Thank you! have been on the phone to them yesterday and it seems they may owe us a tidy sum (if they sort it out) as they have the details there but never applied them!
Hope it gets sorted now! |
