Reading the link Stacy posted if it goes through it will effect children who get the basic disability component but not the ones who get severe disabled element so those who aren't on high rate dla will be losing £26 a week. Why they can't just concentrate on weeding out the benefit fraudsters then they wouldn't need to take it from genuine cases. There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will.. So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future. |

Exactly Corinne, that sounds a much better idea and thank you for pointing that out! Very unfair on families who are already struggling and need every penny. Things can be hard on occasions but well worth it!

The planned change to universal credit will not effect just the people whose children get middle rate dla, it will effect everybody who gets ctc. Currently the child tax credits begin to taper at 39% once income exceeds @£16k, but the proposed universal credit will taper at 65% once income exceeds £7k! I have the links to where this is written but when I tried to post them I was told I can't because I have less than 20 posts, if anyone wants them I can try to send them by pm. |

He obviously doesn't realise how expensive it can be having a disabled child. Why not stop all these bankers from their £1million bonuses instead of hurting people that are already struggling xx
Mum to Abigail 8 & Matthew 4. Children with disabilities are like butterflies with a broken wing. They are just as beautiful as all others, but they need help to spread their wings.
