Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

with the amount of ppl who your son is under i dont think you will need a diagnosis to apply for dla, they will ask for names of professionals who know about his illness and looks like you have a few to choose from, at the end of the day you have to do a lot more for him than a child the same age and he has a long term illness which is one of the criteria. next time the community nurse comes out ask if she will help you to fill the forms in as they can be a bit daunting

There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will..
So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Apply tomorrow! Doesnt matter about what the illness is, its how it affects him. Get help with the form at a local welfare rights/advice service.

As the other members have correctly stated the dla can write to your specialists and gain the information required.
You will not need a diagnosis in order to claim as Dla is based on care needs alone and not a formal diagnosis.
