Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

I honestly cant say whos entitled and who not.
It all balls down to who, ur decesion maker is and what your child can/cant do!

However, my son is nearly 6 and has Severe GDD, Severe behavioural problems, Learning difficulties, Flat feet, Hole in heart, Heart Murmor, Speach & Lang Probs, Oversized Tonsils & Glue ear..
He has no sence of danger and will just run out infront of moving vehicles/swings etc. Hes very distructive and throws everything in sight aswel as always biteing objects. He can walk, but will only walk so far before moaning.

I applied for mobility a few months ago and got declined.
I then appealed and got low rate mobility.

The only thing i can say is, apply for it and wait for the outcome as every child and every claim is different..
But just to make you aware its alot harder to get mobility if ur child is under 5yrs of age!
Good Luck
