Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Hi my little one gets DLA middle rate no mobility atm (as she is only 19 months) - since last july, I had NO idea till recently I was supposed to inform CTC. I had been getting £53 a week (which I am fine with) I have just had a back payment which would be equal to something like £68 a week.. this seems way too much and I just wanted to check with people that might know!
The person taking my details kept asking if I had mobility and I said no every time.. and had to correct him at least twice.. I am worried he has said that We do claim mobility and thats why its such i big sum O_O .. thank you anyway Smile

My disabled child element on Tax Credits equates to about £52 a week, my daughter is 3.5 years old and that's based on middle rate DLA care component, no mobility component. x
