Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Did you mean 2010 on the last line? I would say the date you were awarded because it's not your fault that it took 3 months to get a letter. You have proof anyway so if you have told tax credits 19th November 2010 then I would say that's ok.

hi , yep 2010 .. the date the letter was made was 2nd Feb 2010 ( the time they decided we were entitled to the dla ) we got the letter on the 9th feb , but on the dla award it says ( what you are entitled to ) from and including 19/11/2010 you are entitled to : high rate care & low rate mobility .. there's no end date , the lady from dla said it is indefently .

thankyou for the reply ..

Then yes I would say you are right to say 11th November. Jack's 5 this year so we hope he will get an indefinite DLA this time round - hate filling the forms in! x
