do you get child tax credits? if you do then you need to work out if you will be better off as you cant get them if your daughter gets esa, the amount of esa is £55 for the first 13 weeks (assessment time) and goes up to £95 after that (its about them amounts not sure of exact amount but friend is getting esa for her son as he is coming up to 20 so will lose child tax credits anyway

There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will..
So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

I think in order to continue to qualify for Child Tax Credit after the age of 16 she would need to continue full time education (college/Sixth form). You should check with the CAB as i think there may be an exception to this rule. The same rule applies for Child Benefit. So if your daughter made a claim for ESA, you would obviously lose CTC and Child Benefit.

thank you a lot to think about, Tashi is continuing her education till the end of the school year she is also going to be doing OU study as it is unlikely she will be well enough to do her GCSEs and wants to earn her way into college and not on merit,
