Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Awww goodluck!!! I've never been to one but I think statistically more people win at tribunal than lose. AND also, those that I've spoke to who have lost said it was because the lost it through nerves and forgot everything. Are you allowed to take notes maybe!? Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know) and try and keep calm in there. Atleast you have someone professional with you xxx

Thanks all, yes lucy you have to take your appeal notes with u, which is basically yur dla form which u filled in,, i have sent extra information in as wev been waiting for the date (we have been waiting since last jan!) but what i didnt know and dont know if many people do is the tribunal can only base the decision on the info they have at the time you send yur appeal letter off,, so whatever extra information you send afterwards they may not take it into consideration amd can disregard it, so people have to make sure that they meet the criteria in the original dla form and to get extra information sent in with the dla form,,, my citizens advice worker told me this but luckily taylor meets the criteria,, well il let u all know how it goes :-)
