The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Thats how i feel , its like he got put down cos they had to make cut backs , I am going to reapply online later it will prob take me a few days to fill in the forms but i shall try to detail everything as much as possible and hope for the best , the thing with autism is its hard to put alot of the problems into words and i think its hard for other ppl who dont no an autisic child to understand .

Exactly.. not only that they all work the decesions via a text book, however if it was them looking after our children im sure they would understand the childs extra needs.
I think its a stupid system they have anyway and i personaly think they should get there own health profesionals to visit our children on intervals to see the extra care we need to provide rather than go of it with a few words as like you say somethings are hard to describe and others whos not in our situation cant always grasp the length of what we do have to do. It was also stop the fraudulent claimers, and then we wouldnt need to suffer having cut backs as you are now.
Good luck anyways hun hope they will put you back on the high rate care and mobility to help you and ur childs needs.

Hi thanks daniel

He tends to wet the bed about 3 times a night on a bad night!! i offen put him in the bath when this happends as he gets sore and wont settle , this can happen on average 3 nights a wk altho it did happen everynight for 2 wks over christmas , i find its worse when his stressed or over excited ie xmas!!

If i am bathing him it will take me about an hr to get him up into the bath change the sheets put the washin on and get him washed and back into bed , i sometimes lay with him as once his awake he can be hard to get back to sleep he doesnt seems to get that nighttime means sleep lol once his awake he offen wants to play!

He has got alot worse the last yr and school have notices too , i have been battaling for 3 yrs now to get him into special school and am now on the final list so fingers crossed! he gets complete 121 at school at the moment and has a statement .
There are good nights where he will have his pills go to sleep and not wake till 6!! and them days we have no temper tantrums either cos he isnt tired and grumpy.

Thanks so much for your help xx

yes Daniel i was lucky to get high rate of both without a fight but it was slightly easier i think back then, re the closing down of the house i had to argue with them because even at 3 or 4 he didnt go to bed before about 12 but when they asked what time we went to bed we told them 12 so she said "that is the close of house" but i argued that i would prefer to go to bed a lot earlier and a child of that age should be in bed at 7 or 8pm so the parents get some relax time before they go to bed not just fall into bed exhausted.
they cant have it both ways, we are told "what is he not doing that another child his age can do" but when it comes to bedtime its oh he can stay up as long as he wants lol
i still get high rate even though matt CAN sleep through the night but rarely before 12.30 - 1am and is up at 7am holidays as he doesnt get up that early he can be awake till 4am and even though i stay up with him some nights i still class that as having a disturbed night because i am only up because he cant be left alone.
Bradley'smum, if you are filling the forms in online, if you get stuck you can always come in here and ask for some help as there is usually somebody on throughout the day and evening and if not they soon will be hey Daniel lol
