Hi evryone i was wondering if anyone can help me. I applied for dla on behalf of my son who has been diagnosed with severe dyslexia, severe dyspraxia, flat feet, knock knees and extremley lax ligaments. I was refused due to my gp saying he had no knowledge of dyspraxia and dyslexia. I tried to explain to dla to ask another gp who was dealing with my child but they didn't. When i got refused i went to dial who think he should be entitiled to dla. The man said he would write to other gp and ask for a letter on behalf of my son. Would the gp be able to do that? As when i spoke to her earlier she said the dwp would have to ask her, but she supported my son getting dla. ![]() |

hi, my sons dla renewal was refused this time round due to his new class teacher filling in the dla form saying he had no knowledge of my sons cerebral palsy!! even though adam had been to school in pots on his legs after botox injections, had daily physio done IN SCHOOL, and a wheelchair assessment!!! we were so mad that we moved schools straight away, the new teacher wrote to the dla straight away to put them straight, i feel like complaining to Education because its the schools fault the dla was denied, that was the main reason thjey gave us for refusing, appeal was not sucessful and am now going to tribunal next month.
Daniel, please can u give me some aadvice under my latest post in the dla tribunals section of the forum, thanks. x |
