Claiming back VAT on goods for disabled people
|

Has anyone ever made use of this? I wondered about claiming back the VAT on the Maclaren Major I bought recently from Mothercare. It's about £30 ish so could be worth the hassle. See here http://www.peoplesrepublicofsouthdevon.c...ed-people/ and here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/sectors/consu...sabled.htm If you have done this successfully before, please can you explain in easy terms what I need to do? Thanks |

Seems like a complicated process though. You need to write to the retailer with a declaration. I'm not sure if it's the retailer or HM Revenue that pay you back though. |
