When my school had a form to fill they did not even have the form filled at the first meeting about my son, but when they seen all the professionals present, they felt pretty stupid. Hence everything was done pretty quick after me and my wife and cahm's and school nurse etc etc had a first meeting. I dont think they have a time limit, which form do you been?

What form is it and has it been formally requested? For example, we're going through statementing at the minute and they have sent letters to all involved requesting info/a report, the lady from the statement department informed me they had 6weeks to reply.....is that the letter you mean? Xx

Hi,DLA recieved our application form on the 23rd august, and then sent me a letter a week last saturday (4th sept) saying that they couldn't give us a decision yet as they had/were requesting a report from school. So I was just wondering if DLA would have given the school a set amount of time to return it to them? also we've been called in to see the senco next fri so is it usual for the school to want to go through the report before they send it off? i'm hoping not really because a)thats another week at least before their report is on its way to DLA, which isn't a big problem if they do award my son as it will be backdated to mid july, more that i'm just very very impatient lol and b) because i'm really hoping the meeting is to discusss proceeding with requesting a statutory assessment (which i will be going ahead with anyway) as we think school can now see what everyone else can - that there is definately something wrong with him, afterall how many 'normal' children manage to get themselves removed from p.e, during their first full week aged 4.9yrs!

Ohhhh just saw its DLA Blush silly me Big Grin sorry hun, as far as I'm aware they don't give them a timelimit to reply so it may well be the meeting isto discuss that AND his statement request. Its quite good if they do want to discuss it, some schools just send it back and can be very unhelpfull, atleast meeting with them will enable them to get your view on it Smile xx
