cheap sensory toys

Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Right then, I'll try again..

Couple of things flying around at the moment (head is a mess)

We were originally looking at swapping roles, I quit work and become Erin's carer and Kate goes back to work...problem is I earn around £32k per year (before tax) and Kate will earn whatever mininium wage would be..with mortgage, bills ect this may not be the greatest idea, looking at entitled.com it would appear that were entitled to certain benefits which would mean we are around £50 a week down from what we are now which wouldn't be to much of a problem...is this correct?

Also the house we live in currently cannot be adapted in anyway for Erin (spastic diplegic), can we apply to the council or a housing association for an adapted property?

Or am I being unrealistic and just need a slap...

Or do I continue to work and move to a house that can be adapted..

I just dont know what to do.
