I have hit a downer today. We finally got the letter from the hospital asking us to take our son in for his operation in September, 2 days for his birthday. Seeing it in black and white brings it home that he will be under GA for 4 hours for the surgery and I am scared to death for him. I've been there before because he's had two other surgeries, but it doesn't get any easier.

He even said to me himself today, "I wish I could have the operation on my knee now, cos it's been hurting me all day", and it made me sad for him. He doesn't understand what he will be going through when he does and I am nervous about how to prepare him nearer the time.

Sorry for moaning, just needed to share this with others.

Thanks for listening.

ginny hugs for both of you! i hate it when my daughter goes to theatre
Thank you for the hugSmile
Big hugs to both of you. It's really hard Matt had his first surgery in March and it was the longest 3 hours of my life and he needs another one in sept. So my heart goes out to you. Good luck and think positive it's the only thing that will get you through xx
