Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Anyone from Glasgow? Or know the area?

I'm not, but I need some advice! I've just been offered tickets to the filming of 'tonights the night', and being a massive fan of John Barrowman, I don't want to miss it!
Trouble is, its for Sunday so I'd need to book a hotel room for tomorrow....and get my nerves and stamina up for a 4 1/2 drive up there!
I don't know the city at all, all I know is that the studio is BBC Scotland Pacific Quay. Can anyone tell me what area's I'm best off looking at for reasonably priced hotels not too far away please?
Thanks!

hey if you can get a travel lodge or travel inn in the centre of glasgow then it's not that far from the city centre. you can usually get one of them for about £70-£80 at the weekend. i've know glasgow pretty well but not lived there for a few years but know it's on the other side of the clyde to the secc where i am a constant visitor
(the travel inn at george square is no less than 2 miles away)

hope this helps, i would advise getting a taxi though cos if i remeber rightly the traffic can be a nightmare

hi if you book online tonight you can check laterooms.com or go to malmaison.co.uk and get luxury rooms, you want to be in the centre or southside, there is an ibis hotel just across the bridge .if going to malmaison ask for a room upgrade when you get there and they only charge£20 extra so you get a £220 room for £120hope you enjoy yourself.glasgow is a great place to live
