And its such a waste really knowing how succesful it could be. Home start run our local group. Here is a link to the homestart groups in your local areas http://www.home-start.org.uk/findus/south_west_scotland In our area they offer all sorts of diffrent groups including the disability support group and can also have home visits to sit and play with your children whilst you do housework etc if you want. Ive never done a home visit from them so cant say what they are like. Homestart operate across the whole of the UK so if members are looking for something check out your local group. Not many people are aware of homestart but they are a good organisation who organise day trips etc. They organised a santa's grotto visit for the Children at christmas as well. Let me know if you go along and give some feedback. Long term as well on this site its something i want to do,is to offer local groups for support under the sites branding but its a case of a few years down the line when enough members are on board to make it work. ![]() Our Irish members can also use our new website for Ireland which is |

Sure start is a decent organisation but as a goverment funded organisation things can be limited for example they have scrapped several disability groups as they stated "They were not viable due to small numbers"
Whereas Homestart are a charity and fundraise to make things happen! ![]() Our Irish members can also use our new website for Ireland which is |
