Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

chloe had eye appointment yesterday, we usually go every 9 months to see the eye doctor every 6 months to see the eye nurse , her eyes drift out wards when she looks long distance , anyway we saw both yesterday the nurse said she want to see us every two months now and asked about her speechDodgy, i told her some times it coming on other she goes back to babbles, she them went on to say so is that same as her feeding and muscles problems. me and john looked at each other ! then went to see eye doc he says hes not endurably worried but will see us in 4 monthsExclamation

so me and john was thinking do they have an idea what's up with chloe? they don't usually know about her conditions at other departments. iv been thinking about all last night and today. am i reading to much into this?

Everyone worries, dan and i are both guilty of over reading things and going over them again and again...is there any way you could phone and speak to the nurse?? or maybe she just had some notes infront of her with chloes history of problems.....Confused

you might be lucky and they have linked something? i know opticians can diagnose more than you think by noticing slight changes in your eyes so perhaps she is just putting things together before she speaks to the doctor?
fingers crossed that they do work it out hun 22

There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will..
So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

If you feel they have an idea and not sharing it with you, they normally write this sort of stuff in medical notes.
I.e suspect ............?
You could ask for a medical records release and gain access to all medical notes for Chloe and then gain a clearer picture of what the doctors could be working towards.
In fact i think i might follow my own advice and ask for one for Euans assesments Big Grin and see what they have been writing about us.Big Grin
