Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Just having a rant Angry Every blooming school hol Isla is ill! we was on the Children ward all day sat, she has a viral infection in her lungs now!!! the last half term she was in for a week with her kidney infection! she has too have an inhaler every 4 hours to open her airways and she screams her head off and i end up in tears! we very nearly booked to go to eurodisney would of got insurance anyway cos i know what she's like. but the Children were so disappointed so i've made hubby take them away for a few days bless them i'm so worried they are going to start resenting her Sad as they have said a few comments,(my family say i worry to much lol) But they are probably having a ball without us and won't want to come home! I think it's so hard for the siblings esp as they are 9 and 13 and it's had a huge impact on their life! I know they love her to bits, and we'll get through it but i don't want them to look back and missed out on anything! we do spoil them to make up for it, and i know that's wrong as they really need more quality time as that is what they remember.
But fingers crossed she get fit and well and we have a fantastic summer to remember 22
